I had been working away as a carpenter in Germany and decided to come home. I had a healthy amount of cash with me and was advised by my then bank manager to consider investing in property. After the first couple of deals my bank would no longer fund my requirements and I went to a broker who introduced me to a lender to take things further. After a couple more deals I was a bit stuck as the lender put me on a scheme where the deposit required was 35%. I then met Robert at Mayfair. Talking to the same lender and following a conversation with their managing director, Robert managed to persuade them to take me on on their normal scheme where the deposit required was only 15% and the rates were far more reasonable. Since then I have increased my portfolio to some 40 properties and I have never looked back!
